As a participant of the Hungry Jack Ambassador program, I’ve received compensation for my time and product samples for review purposes. Opinions are my own.
My kids are on their second week of school and we are finally settling into a morning routine. I’m sure you’ve heard that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, but if your mornings are hectic or you are a busy family like us, breakfast can be a quick afterthought. According to “The Effects of Breakfast on Behavior and Academic Performance in Children and Adolescents,” published in the Frontiers in Human Neuroscience there are many studies and facts behind the importance of eating breakfast.
Children who habitually consume breakfast are more likely to have favorable nutrient intakes including higher intake of dietary fiber, total carbohydrate and lower total fat and cholesterol (Deshmukh-Taskar et al., 2010). Two systematic reviews report that children and adolescents who habitually consume breakfast [including ready-to-eat-cereal (RTEC)] have reduced likelihood of being overweight (Szajewska and Ruszczynski, 2010; de la Hunty et al., 2013). Moreover, there is evidence that breakfast positively affects learning in children in terms of behavior, cognitive, and school performance (Hoyland et al., 2009).
Now you know that the “breakfast is the most important meal of the day,” isn’t just a saying. So let’s make it a BreakFEAST with an easy morning pancake bar! Hungry Jack takes your pancakes and syrup to the next level turning your breakfast into an easy feast the whole family will enjoy in the mornings. Obviously I know it’s not feasible to have a pancake bar every morning, but you can keep your cooked pancakes in the fridge for an easy to-go breakfast on those hectic mornings!
We are using this new Oster DuraCeramic griddle for easy pancake cooking. The ceramic surface is non-stick and lasts 8 times longer than other griddles, so it won’t peel or chip. It helps your pancakes cook up to 30% faster and is easy to clean!
Hungry Jack’s syrup bottle looks a bit different from the traditional long-neck bottles because it’s uniquely designed to fit in the microwave! Syrup can be sticky and sticky + kids in the morning before school is not fun. These bottles also feature an easy-pour cap! You can have warm, delicious syrup (and mess-free) syrup in no time.
