I love all of the cute and creative ideas for bento lunches, but I usually just throw together a quick lunch that is a combination of both convenience and healthiness. I’m all about quick, easy, and healthy. Remember when I posted 5 Fun and Easy Apple After School Snacks last year?
Mott’s®. Snack & Go applesauce pouches are delicious and nutritious; and they’re the perfect convenient snacks when you’re on-the-go. Get 30% daily value of vitamin C in a variety of flavors, conveniently packaged in on-the-go juice boxes with Mott’s® 100% Apple Juice. These are perfect for after school and lunchtime!
Here is a quick and easy non-sandwich lunchbox idea I put together for Colton recently that is different from the usual sandwich lunch and certainly fun and healthy!
Turkey Sausage: These are small turkey snacks that are low calorie and great protein.
Clementine: One of my son’s favorite fruits to eat, these clementines are a good source of Vitamin C.
Raspberry Tartlets: You can buy these in most stores or make them yourself. These are considered the dessert of the lunch, but still made real fruit.
Cauliflower: Broccoli and Cauliflower are a few of the vegetables Colton will eat. He only recently started eating cauliflower because before he assumed he wouldn’t like it. This veggie is filled with vitamins and low in cholesterol and saturated fats.
Mott’s®. Snack & Go applesauce pouches: These convenient pouches are made with real fruit. Try the strawberry and natural flavors!
Sweet Potato Tortilla Chips: I only recently found these and my family likes them just as much as original tortilla chips. They don’t need to know they are made with sweet potatoes, quinoa and chia! You can find these in your local health food sections at the grocery store.
Salsa: I buy organic salsa in bulk. This is a low calorie dip that my family loves. 2 Tbls is only 10 calories!
Mott’s® 100% Apple Juice: These juice boxes are an excellent source of vitamin C and there are 1-½ servings of fruit in each box!*
I would totally eat this as my own lunch! As busy moms, it’s important to find a balance of convenience and healthy. Those two words are not conflicting; there are so many quick, easy, and healthful lunch options!
What a neat spread! I just learned that my picky eater loves applesauce. Glad I ran across this post to remind me to pick some up tomorrow. Awesome photos as always!
that is such a good looking lunch. I’m all for sending nutritious things for kids to eat for lunch. You can make my lunch any time!
Great ideas!
We’re GO GO SqueeZ fans here, but I’m so glad that they have options for kids to get healthy snacks!
I know.. I love the look of the bento lunches, but I just can’t do it!!
Great ideas! My biggest challenge anymore is that my son won’t take a container that he has to bring home. (I’ve tried, I’ve lost…rather, the container was lost.) He can’t go back to his backpack with it before recess portion of lunch is over, and it gets taken/misplaced/thrown away by someone otherwise, so I have to give him things in disposable containers. (Which I hate, but I figure in 7th grade already, I don’t have much time left where he’ll run and play so it’s short-term? Sniff.) I have to pack him food that can’t get smushed and that means the traditional sandwich or banana is out. Your kids’ lunches are so cute!
They are my new favorite– from Costco!
we LOVE MOTTS!! And that lunch looks awesome!
Looks simple too! I’ve been doing a lot more home lunches myself too. And the new packaging for apple sauce is genius! I actually decided to join my 4th grader for a school lunch last week, it was great bonding time and she was ecstatic! The school lunch provided was actually very good, with lots of options for fruits and veggies. I was happy about that!
Is it weird that I buy MOTTS cause it doesn’t come from China? xD It’s an awesome brand~
I struggle with coming up with exciting new ideas for lunchboxes – they get so boring! Love the sweet potato tortilla chips though!
Such a great lunch you put together! I’m tired of making sandwich lunches and want to venture into more fun stuff but don’t have the energy!
This looks like a great lunch! I think even my teen would take it to school!
My son would kill for those shoes :) He loves orange. We love the pouch apple sauces here. My daughter’s favorite drink is apple juice and I love Motts.
I love Bento lunches, but I just can’t pull them off!
I like the lunch you’ve made, though! My kids love applesauce, but I have to be careful not to put sauce and juice in the same lunch.
We love Mott’s. I even love those applesauce things myself.
He is so cute! Love the Mott’s snack n go items!
That looks like a great lunch. My son started middle school and refuses to buy his lunch at school. I get tired of trying to come up with something decent for him to eat.
My kids ate applesauce with every meal when they were little. They still love it even though they are teens now!
We are huge Mott’s fans here and what great lunch ideas. Am I the only one who feels slighted by just getting PB&J as a kid?
Sadly you put way more thought into your lunches than I do. we love applesauce though and its a monday/wednesday staple.
We are HUGE Mott’s fans here. The girls absolutely love them and I love that they are healthy and easy to grab and go!
I’d eat that lunch, too! :) I buy Mott’s all the time… love it!
I’m a huge fan of applesauce. When I was young, I used to eat them with everything.
