Last year I posted about a new series on Oxygen about adoption called I’m Having Their Baby. We were just getting started with the adoption process at that time and now almost one year later we are still waiting for our kids.
When you become involved in adoption you feel connected to all adoptive parents no matter if they adopted domestically, internationally or through the foster care system. Many of us adoptive parents go through the same experiences, have the same feelings, and go through the same issues while both waiting for our children and as they grow up. These commonalities are what draw adoptive parents together and are what initially drew me to the docu-series.
But what’s interesting about this series is that it provides an intimate and emotional look at adoption by telling the often-untold story through the eyes of the birth mother. Behind every adopted child is a birth mother and it’s a different perspective to share with the world about adoption. This is a powerful resource for everyone to learn more about adoption and the emotional roller coaster it is for everyone involved.
Oxygen created a web-series, “I’m Having Their Baby: Raising Baby” to revisit some of the families we met in season one.

i like that the parents visit the child and her new family.

Can’t wait to see this season!
I love that the families did what was best for their kids even though it was difficult!
I love the level of maturity that Jaimie showed knowing she couldn’t handle one more child and knowing she wanted her baby to have a stable two parent home. The relationship is great between the two families and is so relaxed and they bring Nayamah to visit her birth mother and siblings and that Jaimie was wise enough to get her oldest daughter in counseling because she didn’t understand the adoption

I love hearing stories about how people are faced with challenges and how they decide on their choices – love that this show highlights the positives and difficulties of adoption
i like that they do everything for the baby. and let the biological parents see the girl.
I love that both families are working together to do what is best for everyone, they genuinely seem to be happy and comfortable together. I expect lots of moments of courage and inspirational stories from watching the new season. It is fabulous to see truly selfless acts.
It is very nice to see the adoptive and biological families get along and involved in the baby’s life.
I really enjoyed knowing that the adoptive parents have no issue with he birth parents visiting with the child. Maybe I am out of touch with adoption, but it seems that situation, does not happen much. I also, like that the adoptive parents where picked, assures a good match for the child.
I like the fact that the birth parents and adoptive parents keep in touch. I think that’s the best case scenario.
