We bought this house almost two years ago- our first house. It may be small, but we loved it for the backyard. Our lot is huge for a house in the city with more than enough room for games of baseball, football and hundreds of good hiding places for hours of hide-and-seek. Over the past year and a half we have been working on improving the outside, starting with a cement and stone porch in the front done by my handyman husband.
This summer we’ve been working on transforming our backyard, getting rid of old railroad ties that lined the whole house and garage and replacing them with layers of brick and fresh mulch.
As you can see we are still in the middle of the backyard transformation, but we are getting closer with a fresh coat of stain and a patio set- a must have for a backyard escape!
A family backyard is not complete without a swing set, a place where the kids can let their imaginations run! This playset was one of the first things we put in the backyard along with the sandbox beside it.
We hope to be finished with the backyard renovations within a few weeks, just in time for the weather to start cooling down a bit and we can enjoy it more!
