I had a bit of a challenge a few weeks ago trying to think of a creative recipe using Pillsbury Crescent rolls. Growing up we never had them any way but wrapped up into those funny shaped rolls, usually with a Crock Pot roast or beef stew. It was a little tricky to put that childhood nostalgia aside and come up with an out-of-the-box way to use this family favorite meal helper.
Since Valentine’s Day was just a few weeks away when I was contemplating different uses for the Crescent rolls, the Valentine’s Day theme stuck in my mind. These Crescent Valentine’s Day Sandwich cookies are what I ended up with in the end. They are a mixture of buttery crescent with the sweetness of a bit of frosting.
