Top Five Valentine’s Day Gifts To Get Your Wife

Valentine’s Day isn’t a big event in my house, although I wish it was. Sometimes I wish my husband would surprise me with thoughtfulness, something that has rarely happened, if ever. Now when I say I wish Valentine’s day was a “big event,” in our house, I don’t mean tons of money needs to be spent on gifts and heck, we don’t even need to go out to dinner. He could even order flowers online which would take about 5 minute of his time. Thoughtfulness. Do you hear me all you husbands out there? This is the day you are supposed to show your wife how much you love her, care about her, and are so lucky to have her.

Here are some gift suggestions and tips coming from a wife probably similar to yours, who thinks thoughtfulness is key.

Cherry Blossoms Candle tops my list because my husband and I just bought our first home and I have been trying to decorate. This candle would go perfect on our kitchen table. This may not be the gift for your wife, she may not even like candles, but the point is to think about what is going on in her life right now. What are her hobbies? What has she been talking about lately? Think really really hard, she may have already been giving you subtle hints.

Hand Dipped Valentines Berries The. dreaded. box. of. chocolates. I really hope you don’t go shopping last minute at the Walgreens up the road only to pick up the first Valentine-zy looking box of chocolates. If I am going to divulge in a box of chocolates it might as well be a box of hand dipped Valentine’s Day berries. Think out of the box hubbies! You can still get your wife chocolate, don’t get me wrong, chocolate is very, very good, but try going to a bakery and picking up some cute mini cupcakes or a cookie cake with a special message. Still want those chocolates in a box? Try these 10 Reasons I Love You Truffles.

Braided Money Tree I guess I’m not the traditional flowers and chocolate gal (if you can’t already tell). Flowers are beautiful, but they die in a week. For those few days it reminds me how thoughtful my husband was for getting me flowers (this is hypothetical, I don’t remember the last time my husband bought me flowers). I would much rather have this braided money tree, something that will last a lot longer. I will be able to water it, care for it, and everyday it will remind me of how thoughtful you were.

Couples Conversations Table Topics Now this is a thoughtful gift, and something very few husbands would think of. If you talk the night away with your spouse, than this probably isn’t the gift for your wife. My husband and I rarely talk, just to talk. These questions for couples will show your wife that you want to learn things you never knew about her, you want to know her thoughts, and you want to spend time talking just because you enjoy her company.

I want an Edible Arrangements bouquet for Valentine’s Day. No, I won’t turn up my nose at any beautiful bouquets of flowers, but I LOVE Edible Arrangements. My husband sent my first Edible Arrangements bouquet two years ago and since then I expect chocolate covered fruit bouquets as opposed to beautifully arranged carnations, roses, etc. that I will end up accidentally killing in 3-4 days. I am known as the black thumb…heck I was able to kill off a Venus Flytrap! Who kills those?! Plus fruit are healthy…I know, I know adding chocolate to them probably not the best for my diet, but really isn’t a win-win when I eat my chocolate dipped fruit without complaining?!

Would it be too much if I just forwarded this post to the hubby? He seemed to have forgot my Edible Arrangements bouquet for my birthday last year…but it was true we were in the midst of traveling. I just want to make sure I get my Edible Arrangements this year. I promise I’ll share with our toddler…maybe.

You can follow Edible Arrangements on Twitter – @DoFruit to find out their specials and new products.

This is not a paid post. This is my own opinion. I was not asked to post anything, but please Busy Mom readers feel free to send any Edible Arrangements my way. I’ll gladly take any and all chocolate dipped fruits. :)

What To Get Your Wife For Valentines Day

ringAre diamonds a girl’s best friend? Well, I think any jewelry is for that matter. You can find incredible fashion jewelry for less at LuShae Jewelry. I was amazed at the selection and the affordability.

See that ring to the left? ………… I’m in love.

It’s beautiful. It’s bling. It’s unique.

The beauty is called “Pride” and it is adorned with pave CZ and a gold and silver abstract design. I always see celebrities wearing chunky cocktail rings, but their version probably cost an arm and a leg- this costs $75.00  At LuShae Jewelry you can get affordable jewelry including pendants, earrings and promise rings. They offer a wide selection of authentic sterling silver jewelry, precious and semi-precious gemstones.

Are you you looking for a Valentine’s Day gift for your wife or girlfriend? LuShae Jewelry ships your item within 48 hours. I received my ring only a few days after I placed the order! Your significant other will love the unique pieces. If you plan to purchase jewelry online, LuShae Jewelry offers some insight:

“Buying jewelry online has many obvious advantages but there are also several drawbacks. First and foremost you must establish if the website you intend to buy from is a credible source. Does the website use https encryption in its shopping cart? Can you easily contact the website owners? Do they publish a fair exchange and returns policy? In addition to the basics you should try and establish how long it will be before you are likely to receive your goods particularly if you are buying a last minute gift. On this point you should try and establish if the vendor provides tracking allowing you to check the status of your order. For precious gemstones which you obviously won’t get the opportunity to inspect you are taking an even greater risk. If the gemstone is supplied with a GIA report the risk is somewhat reduced. ”
