In Omaha, it seems we have skipped fall and went right to winter.  We have already had our first snowfall (although it didn’t stay on the ground too long) and I haven’t been too fashionable with my warm-weather clothes.  I love the new TJ Maxx/Marshalls’ commercials about becoming a “maxxinista” because it reminds me I shouldn’t look like a boy just because it’s cold outside.  I need to go find some new cold-weather clothes and I plan on doing that this weekend!

Here are a few fall fashions from TJ Maxx…

Learn how to stretch your wardrobe and your dollar by mixing the new trends of the season with what you already own to extend your spend. Here are a few ways to mix and match the must-haves and create fresh, new looks.

Bomber jacket

This updated classic can work over almost any piece in your wardrobe! Pair with dark skinny jeans and a girly, ruffled tunic for a night out. Or, for a funky office environment, layer with an embellished top, solid colored tights and brightly colored skirt. Accessorize either look with an over sized clutch or handbag and a great pair of heels.

Boyfriend blazer

Dress to impress by rolling up the sleeves and exposing fun cuff details. A delicate, embellished knit dress complements this masculine trend nicely. Finish the look with a detailed handbag or a pair of patent leather booties. Or, update the legging and printed tunic with this new layering piece and a carry-all hangbag.

Suede slouchy boots

You can dress up the boots and brown corduroys with a plaid ruffled blouse and preppy cropped jacket. Run errands in the ultra comfortable boots paired with jeans from your closet, and over sized cowl neck sweater and an Italian leather handbag.
