Did you know the month of July is National Ice Cream Month? And coming up on July 21st it is National Ice Cream Day? What better way to celebrate than by trying out Edy’s Limited Edition flavors! Not to be too indulgent, Edy’s Slow Churned Ice Cream has all the taste and 1/2 the fat (with 1/2 the fat and 1/3 fewer calories than regular ice cream).
“Take the Cake,” is a scrumptious yellow cake-flavored ice cream with a frosting swirl and sprinkles. What’s better than the combo of cake + ice cream?!
“German Chocolate Cake Spectacular!” Another cake + ice cream combo, but for those chocolate lovers. Chocolate ice cream with a caramel coconut swirl and brownie pieces.
“Sunny Salted Caramel Pretzel,” Sweet and salty hits the spot. This flavor is a Vanilla ice cream with a salted caramel swirl and pretzel pieces!
Colton is usually a plain vanilla type of guy, so he was pretty apprehensive about these new flavors. He quickly found a favorite in the “Take the Cake,” flavor. For me, there’s no better combo than chocolate ice cream and brownies so my favorite is the “German Chocolate Cake Spectacular.”
I love posting about companies that give back and like last year, Edy’s is partnering once again with Operation Smile. Operation Smile is an amazing international children’s medical charity that provides safe and effective reconstructive surgeries for children with facial deformaties such as cleft lip and palate.
This year, Edy’s will donate up to $125,000 to Operation Smile providing 500 children with reconstructive life-changing surgeries. Go visit Edy’s Facebook page to participate in the Reason To Smile campaign! Every two weeks they will post instructions like this– with likes and shares adding up to donated dollars!
As a bonus, comment on this post to be intered to win free Edy’s ice cream!
