Custom Design Solutions, Without The Custom Prices

For a few years now I have been tearing out inspiration decorating photos from magazines for the much anticipated purchase of our own home. Like many women’s dreams when they move into that first home; I want mine to look like something out of Better Homes and Gardens. Now… I know that probably isn’t realistic and most of the time the floors would be covered with toys, the sink full of dishes, and covers thrown over the unmade beds – but hey, a girl can dream right?

My husband and I are recent college graduates, so after student loans and a down payment on a home, I imagine we won’t be spending a ton of money on my dream of a Better Homes and Gardens-esque home. I have my visions which probably could only be made a reality with an interior designer, but that would most likely be out of our budget.

That’s where Annie Pauza comes in. As an experienced Interior Decorator, Annie offers a more economical approach to custom design solutions, a service called “Decorator In A Box“. Annie says, “MyDIAB is for the do-it-yourself homeowner who wants the expertise of an Interior Decorator, but does not need a full service decorator to execute the design.” This is truly affordable interior design.

What I love about this concept is that Annie can be in Texas and I can be in Iowa, but everything can be done via the computer.  To get things started: fill out a questionnaire that will help Annie achieve your goals, upload photos of your space, the existing furniture you would like to keep, and measure your space.

“The Box” arrives at your doorstep in two weeks. What does a box include, you ask?

  • Detailed instructions on how to start your project.
  • A Design board showing all of the furniture, accessories, and colors selected for your space.
  • A Color reference board for quickly visualizing the color and finishes for your space.
  • A Design book that includes an array of items to help you decorate including a detailed shopping list, where to buy the items, and their prices.

If your living space is in need of a little pick-me-up or you are just purchasing your own home and don’t know where to start, consider an online interior designer like Annie. You can visit her blog at www.decoratorinabox.blogspot.com
