I am excited to say that I will be attending Bloggers on Bourbon on July 23rd – 25th! This is a “social media meet up” hosted by Trisha of MomDot and Leah of Bookie Boo in New Orleans. This is a social gathering (not a conference) where we will get to meet and hang out with the women we talk to all day online. I am extremely excited about this for 3 reasons:

1. My birthday is the 23rd!
2. I have never been to New Orleans.
3. I have been a part of MomDot since I first started blogging about two years ago. This is a great group of women who have been nothing but supportive. I am thrilled at the opportunity to meet with them and of all places- Bourbon Street!

I am positive this weekend will be filled with blogging, tweeting and of course VLOGGING. One of the hilarious questions on the FAQ page for Bloggers on Bourbon is:

9) I have never been to New Orleans before. I’m scared. Dont they kill people there?

All I have to say is: lookout New Orleans, the mom bloggers are coming to town! We are loud, quite possibly rowdy and one thing’s for sure: we will speak our mind’s!

Are sponsorships welcome?
Yes! This is a great time to talk to those companies that support social media. While we are a smaller meet up, this is a wonderful time to actually get the attention of a real handful of influential bloggers and share company information with them. We encourage everyone to tweet, post, and link up any sponsors that send swag.
