Traveling With a Two Year Old?! (Day 1)
I never thought I would travel across the country with a two year old, but when my parents offered to have Colton and I come along on their Spring Break vacation this spring break to Anna Maria Island in Florida, I happily obliged since we would just be sitting at home (Daddy is out of town). I remember to my childhood days when I feared flying, not because of crashing, but because my ears hurt so bad! Colton has had 3 ear infections so far, so I thought his ears might be sensitive and he might have a hard time on the plane.
The first flight was only an hour, but he was excited because this was his first airplane ride! Let me tell you…. this small portable DVD player is a lifesaver. I would recommend it to anyone traveling with children.

Then we had a three hour layover- nothing compared to my sister’s 10 hour layover on her way to Brazil, but Colton was still a little tired. Nothing beats lounging on the airport floor!

Traveling is tough, let alone with children. After the flights you still have to get the luggage and wait for a rental car. We stayed at a hotel the first night and tomorrow we are driving about an hour to Anna Maria where we have a house rented close to the beach. Colton enjoyed his first airplane ride and hotel stay!
