Martha Stewart is the Queen of the Home- it’s only fitting that she now has her own green cleaning product line. Martha Stewart Clean is now available in all Home Depots, Giant Eagle stores and online at Amazon.com.

Being “clean” and “green” isn’t new to Martha, have you checked out her body+soul magazine? It is filled with green-living and health tips with a more natural approach. It fittingly has tips for your body and soul. One of my favorite articles is “10 Thoughts on Whole Living” which I posted awhile back. The March issue of body+soul contains another interesting article on “50 Tips For a Greener, Cleaner Home

Mindy Pennybacker author of “Do One Green Thing: Saving the Earth Through Simple, Everyday Choices” encourages to start with recycling, “We each produce our own weight in garbage every month. But don’t just think about your ‘out’ bin — think recyclable and recycled when bringing items into your home, too.”

To help you “go green” in your home, we are giving away the whole Martha Stewart Clean product line away to a Busy Mom reader ($75 value). These natural cleaning products use 99%+ plant and mineral based ingredients of the highest quality, all in recyclable packaging. The line consists of: dish and hand soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent, fabric softener, all-purpose cleaner, glass and mirror cleaner, carpet stain remover, wood floor cleaner, bathroom cleaner and toilet bowl cleaner.

  277. I grow organic vegetables. Thanks.

  278. I no longer use plastic bags from the grocery store. I will accept paper bags (but only for when I need them to compact newspapers for recycling.) It may not seem like a big thing, but whenever I am driving and see an ugly plastic bag stuck up in a tree on one of my local rural roads, it’s a reminder that I’m glad that I’m not contributing to that problem.

  279. I try to buy toilet paper with a high % of recycled paper in it. Thanks!

  280. Unless I’m cooking something large, I use my toaster oven. It uses a lot less energy! I also like that i heats up so quickly! Thanks!

  281. I reduce, reuse, and recycle (including regifting and thrifting.)

  282. I don’t use paper towels or paper napkins. We have cloth napkins and rags that we just clean to eliminate waste.

  283. I use reusable shopping bags.

  287. I recently read that if you skip rinsing your plates before putting them in the dishwasher that your dishes are just as clean, but you save about 15 gallons per load!!! So we started doing it and our dishes are just as clean as before!

Thanks for the great giveaway!!! :)

  288. This is a really simple one, but I turn off the water when brushing my teeth. Easy but effective. It really helps me to remember to think about those in the world without clean running water- it also boosts my gratitude first thing in the morning…never a bad thing!

    Thanks! :)

  289. I love to recycle and we end up with almost zero garbage..you can really see the difference!!

  290. I love having an Herb Garden and use them in many products like Beauty,Home and Health:)

  291. I went online and stopped my bank from sending me paper statements. I always just threw them out or shredded them anyway because I do everything online anyway.

    Thanks!!! :)

  292. I recycle or reuse everything possible. Plastic grocery sacks (when I forget my reusable ones) are recycled at the grocery store, shredded paper becomes packing filler and old appliances are sold for scrap metal.

  293. Freecycle is wonderful. When I need items I check Freecyle first to see if anyone has what I need. I will sometimes post a request for a particular item. I have gotten appliances and given away baby furniture.

  300. Thanks for the giveaway…we’ve gone green with our cleaning products EXCEPT for the bathroom: the tub & tile are prone to mold and only bleach seems to get that out; perhaps Martha’s new cleaning products are effective with that problem area.

  301. I use re-useable clothes when cleaning. We are also watching our energy usage.

  302. I unplug electronics when not in use. Power is being used even when an item is turned off if it is still plugged in.

  303. We have replaced all of our lights with CFL bulbs.

  304. I try to recyle everything I can and turn the lights off when I’m not in the room.

  305. I have kids with allergies so I am going as “green” as I can because there is less of a reaction for my kids because of the use of less chemicals.

  306. I am going green by recycling and keeping things out of the landfill via Freecycle!

  307. I recycle and like to clean with green products.

  308. We are not doing as much as I would like. We only have our light bulbs in the energy efficient style. Thank you

  309. I wash my clothes in cold water to save energy!

  310. I would love to switch to “green” toothpaste and mouthwash!

  311. I wish I would remember to use reusable bags more often!

  312. I have a rain barrel set up to collect all of the rain water for my outdoor gardening and watering needs.

  316. Turn off lights when we leave a room.

  317. We use cloth napkins instead of paper.

  318. I keep the lights off as much as possible.

  319. I bring cloth bags to the grocery store instead of getting new plastic ones everytime. They give me a 3 cent credit for each bag too!

  320. We compost our food and yard scraps.

  321. I hang our laundry out to dry on sunny days instead of using the dryer.

  322. We recycle as much as possiable

  323. Recycle everything and drink filtered water instead of bottled

  324. I bring my own bag when I go shopping

  333. We cloth diaper our daughter!

  334. My hubby is looking into building a rain barrel!

  335. I turned off the dry cycle on the dishwasher – we just let them air dry!

  336. I save packing materials to reuse.

  337. We use the library weekly to check out books and videos instead of buying new ones. It’s a great way to reuse materials. We tend to only read books once or twice anyway. :-)

  338. I’m buying locally and recycling, thanks!

  339. I’m always looking for new great products to try.

  340. I have been “going green” in stAGES AND THESE PRODUCTS WOULD BE A PLUS!

  341. I try to use non-toxic cleaning products as often as possible.

  342. I shop at our local farmer’s market. This cuts down on gas used to transport food, and I get fresher food.

    Thanks!

  343. We recycle everything our city accepts.

  344. Thanks for the great contest!

  345. When I replace an appliance I buy the most energy efficient model I can. I’m replacing my bulbs with energy saving ones.

  346. I grow my own fruit, veggies and herbs.

  347. I recycle cans and bottles.

  348. I stocked a bunch of reusable fabric totes in my car for when I go shopping.

    Thanks!!! :)

  349. I just learned that going the speed limit really helps to conserve energy. I’ve really been trying hard to stick to it! :)

  350. Lately, before we leave the house and at night before we go to bed we’ve been doing a “Plug Sweep”. We unplug all unused appliances- especially phone or iPod chargers! I didn’t know until a few months back that if something’s plugged in it uses energy! Even if it’s just sitting there!

    Thanks!!! :)
