Hostess Gift Ideas for This Holiday Party Season

The holidays are quickly arriving and ’tis the season for parties! When my husband and I were invited to our first dinner party I had absolutely no idea what to bring. I frantically called my dad, the master socializer, who graciously gave me one of his bottle of wines to gift. I had the choice between a red and a white. But what if they aren’t wine drinkers? Do they prefer the white or the red? You can avoid these tough questions all together and wow your host/ess with unique and gourmet gifts.

Mrs. Prindables carries gourmet caramel apples. These are jumbo apples and come in flavors like Dark Chocolate Delight, Triple Chocolate Caramel Delight, Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Almond Caramel among others.

Each gourmet apple is made in a small batch and includes the finest ingredients. The tasty apples are grown and picked especially for Mrs. Prindables and the jumbo apples are by far the biggest I have ever seen.  From there, the apples are smothered in all-natural ingredients like creamy caramel, premium pecans or dark chocolate.

In addition to their gourmet jumbo caramel apples, Mrs. Prindables offers other great gift varieties that allows you to pick an assortment of flavors. You can also choose to replace the signature gold ribbon topper with a festive ornament for that season.

These unusually delicious and unique apples would make a great gift for any occasion, but I’ve got them in mind for hostess gifts this holiday season.

Another company that I am fond of is 1-800-flowers.com. I love the convenience of picking out gifts for the holidays from the comfort of my own couch to escape the holiday rush and cold weather. If you haven’t visited 1-800-flowers, there is so much more than beautiful flowers that you can have delivered that same day (talk about convenience!) They also have gourmet food and gift baskets for all types of occasions and types of people. I could get the Godiva Decadence Gift Basket for my mother and the Wine Country Handcrafted Cheese basket for my Dad- two very different gifts for two different people.

Another holiday favorite is the Holiday Popcorn Tin from The Popcorn Factory, which comes in a festive holiday tin that you can re-use. The popcorn is a favorite of my son, but what about those chocolate-lovers in your life? Well there is Fannie May chocolates and the yummy Cheryl and Co. soft brownies and cookies- all great gifts in my book.

  3. Gourmet caramel apples is a great idea. Almost too beautiful to eat. One of our guests for thanksgiving brought us a bottle of batter Blaster..it’s pancake batter in a spray can. It was wrapped in a wine bag so naturally i assumed it was a bottle of wine. That was pretty funny but then it actually came in hand on friday morning. My daughter loved it. I also received flowers which I always appreciate.

  4. That apple looks unbelievable and what a great idea. I have used a small box of Godiva chocolates and a botle of wine before too.
