Craft Project: Convert Kids Shirts into Keepsake Pillows
I tend to be a bit of a packrat so I have tons of uber-cute personalized shirts that my kids have outgrown. I’ve seen people make quilts out of these but I just don’t have the patience for that so I’ve been holding on to them, hoping that someday I’ll figure out what to do with them.
Busy Mom reader Denise, from Whimsy*Couture, recently sent me this project and I love it! She turned some of her daughter’s outgrown shirts into snuggle pillows. Even for a novice, this project should take less than an hour and the result is a keepsake that her daughter can treasure for years to come!
Convert a Shirt Into a Pillow:

Cut away sleeves, neckline and bottom hem

Lay your two pieces with right sides inside and sew along all four edges leaving a 3 inch opening on the bottom

Turn your pillow inside out and stuff it with fiberfill (polyfill)

Sew the opening closed

Done! Now your shirt is an adorable cuddle pillow to enjoy for times to come!

What a cute idea. Even though I lack sewing skills, I believe I could do that. Thanks for sharing.

How wonderful!!! I love this
I would have to sew it by hand though since I do not own a machine. Ug! Still - love it though, thanks!
