My kids always do things a bit different than most kids. Instead of Ellie’s teeth coming in one at a time and gradually they all popped in in a matter of two months…and I mean ALL. Eve is the baby who likes to clean up…yup she likes to put things back where they go and then wash stuff with her wet wipes, have I mentioned she is 11 1/2 months? So I am use to the idea of my kids being a bit different.
So a month ago I notice that Ellie had what I thought was a rash…so I left it alone and hoped it would go away…it didn’t seem to be bothering her. Fast forward to this weekend and she was complaining a bit so I decided to take her to the doctor to see if anything could be done to make it go away. We get to the doctor and she examines the rash, and then tells me that it is warts…yeah that’s right it’s warts. I have to admit that the thought had crossed my mind, but I was hoping that they weren’t. But get this, there is nothing that they can do about Ellie’s warts and they need to send her to a dermatologist to see what they say about them.
Why is this you ask? Because unlike most kids who would get warts on their hands or their feet or some place normal…Ellie got warts in her crack (think plumber’s crack). Yeah that’s right, she is the only kid my pediatricians office has ever seen with warts in that area and there are 7 doctors in the practice. Yeahy us.
