Kleenex Anti Viral: $50 Visa Gift Card {Giveaway} Closed

Tamara B. says:
We battle the bug all year round by eating a healthy diet of fresh fruit and vegetables, get plenty of sleep and wash our hands frequently.
With sickness going around lately, it is necessary to take all precautions available. Whether you’re a teacher, nurse, or a Busy Mom, you should be prepared. Kleenex has come out with a new product: Kleenext Anti-Virul tissues that actually kill viruses in the tissue, so you can fight the bug all year long. How does it work? There is a blue dotted, moisture activated layer between the plies. When the bug hits that, its over in 15 minutes.
Kleenex has listed useful information on their site on how to Battle the Bug along with interesting facts.
Did you know:
- It is estimated that there are more than 125 million workdays missed by parents who stay home with a sick child
- One sneeze can spray 100,000 infectious droplets into the air at more than 200 MPH
- Cold and flu viruses can live up to 24-hours on hard surfaces and up to 3 hours on your skin
- Rhinovirus is most active from late fall, spring and summer
- Up to 189 million school days are missed each year due to a cold
Other tips to battle the bug:
- Wash your hands before you eat, after you use the bathroom, after you play with a pet and when you come in from playing outdoors
- Get a good night’s sleep every night. Sleep can help strengthen the immune system
- Dispose of used tissues in the trash as soon as possible
Check out the Kleenex video below on what a “bug,” could do to you!
For the celebration of the new Kleenex Anti-Viral product, Kleenex is giving away Anti-Viral tissues as well as one $50 Visa Gift Card!

With four kids in our house, we have to be diligent about battling the bug in our house or everyone would always be sick! We wash our hands with soap and water when the kids get home from school and before and after every meal. We have Kleenex in almost every room in our house, as well as in the car and in my purse. The kids have also been taught to cough into their sleeve on their arm and not into their hands. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity.

They may not look like much, but these tissues pack quite a punch. Hiding between the oh-so-soft plies is a blue-dotted, moisture-activated layer. When the bug hits that, it’s over within 15 minutes.*

I am sometimes accused of being a germaphobe, but I think I am just careful. I wash or use anti-bacterial products on my hands after coughing, sneezing, or blowing my nose (to keep all of you safe!), sneeze into something besides my hands, and wipe down telephone handsets and computer keyboards and mouses (mice?) before I use them. I also lay a cloth over grocery cart handles. Okay, maybe I am a little on the phobic side, but better safe than sick, I say.

I am never sick, but we use Kleenex for the rest of my family. The way to battle the bug is to not engage in battle in the first place. Let your worries and your stresses go, and learn to take time to relax when you feel overwhelmed about something. I have a three-year-old, a two-year-old, and a one-year-old, but I make sure that I carve out an hour for myself every evening. It keeps me sane and virus free!

thrw a kiss, people will feel loved with out the body and personal space contact when in groups of people. Assume that everyone and everything is contaminated. It probably is! Always wash hands often You can’t be too careful, you can easily be too careless. Always have a Kleenex to cover your mouth and nose when needed, to avoid sending germs out into other peoples space. This practice will also prevent other peoples germs from invading your system. Finally be responsible stay healthy.

We wash our hands often and we’ve taught the kids to sing the entire alphabet while washing to ensure that they are doing a thorough job. Thanks for the great giveaway.
Comment by joanna smith on 22 May 2009:
We battle the bug all year round by my nagging my kids all the time to wash their hands, and I have fruity smelling anti-bacterial soap pumps at all the sinks, the kids tend to wash their hands more when they like the sweet fruity scent of the soap, and I don’t get mad if they play and splash the water around a little, I’d rather have them wash their hands without a battle and clean up a little water around the sink, than have them defy me and not wash their hands. I also always carry Purel hand sanitizer with me when we go out and always ask my kids to rub their hands in it if they have been playing with other children and touching lots of toys or doors that many other people have touched. I think this combined with great healthy diet and lots of sleep help somewhat to keep everyone healthy!

Ps- my first comment was a few days ago
Thanks!

My family takes a zinc supplement each day. We use a juicer to make OJ. I keep wet wipes in the car, and as soon as the kids get in car after being in stores, etc, they reach for the hand wipes.

Good nutrition, plenty of fresh steam distilled water drinking, vitamin/herbal supplements, good sleep, at least one dump a day with strong fresh hot tea or coffee. A lot of prayer! Thank you.
