Are Energy Drinks Safe?

red

A few days ago an incident happened at my old high school, where my brother and sister currently go.  There was a soccer game and a playercollapsed in the middle.  Her heart stopped and they immediately called 911 while trying to resuscitate her.  She was rushed to the hospital and has been on a ventilator ever since.  I guess the girl loved energy drinks and had them quite often.  The doctor’s think this was the reason her heart stopped.

My husband loves energy drinks.  He doesn’t have them every day.. or even every week, but he has them once in awhile.  He already has problems with his heart, so I am pretty apprehensive about letting him take one more sip!  You can check out many articles and studies done on energy drinks that warn against them….FOX news and American Heart Association.

Not all energy drink are bad, you need to look at the caffeine content and if the product has clucuronolactonein it which is not good,

    Look for Vitamins and proteins.

Some energy drinks are endorced by medical association,Go and look up which energy drink is most banned from countries and you make your own choice

I don’t like them exactly for this reason. My kids always try to get me to get them one and I don’t buy them that stuff. they are too young! I have only had one a few times, it’s not my thing either.

Oh my Gosh! I just read the article from FOX news and had no idea about these drinks! Thank Goodness we have never even tried one…but it sounds horrible that these companies made such drinks just for a dollar. I just wonder with so many things like this about how people can sleep at night that work for such corporations. They seem to have no conscience. I know fully how important it is for us (consumers) to think beyond the fancy marketing and to know that many companies are not really wanting to help, but to make money. It is similar to the fact that allergists were telling us that in order to “help” our son, he needed to be on steroids for his Eczema. Now that he is better (from his natural probiotic from Vidazorb) I can look back and see how very sick he was becoming at the same time his body was steroid dependent. He was ill…and we were frustrated that no one was offering anything to us other than high doses of potent drugs. I know the medicine has it’s place, but I am here to say that we need to stay informed and educated on our choices and to not just “but into” what corporations are telling us will “help” our bodies! AAHHH. I am done with my tangent. Thank you for making this world a little better by standing up to this marketing scheme. Caroline
