Ever since I made the Homemade Gingerbread Latte’s I have been going crazy hunting down new Latte recipes to make. I admit it I am hooked! I never really thought to make the homemade versions, it really is so much cheaper than going to Starbucks. Don’t get me wrong Starbucks is the best, but i just cant afford my coffee addiction. I knew there had to be a easier way. I was searching around on the Internet and came across a copy cat version of Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha, which happens to be my favorite Starbucks Drink. I was so surprised at how similar it tasted to the real thing. It was so creamy and yummy. This would be perfect to make for New Year Eve for all your guests. This recipe is really versatile and can be doubled or tripled quite easily. I am thinking you could prepare the milk mixture in the double boiler and then place it in a covered crock pot on the warm setting. Make a pot of strong coffee and place it next to the crock pot along with the whipping cream, cinnamon or white chocolate shavings. Then your guests can make their own White Chocolate Mocha’s.
Copy Cat Starbucks White Chocolate Mocha
2/3 cup whole milk
6 tablespoons white chocolate chips
Freshly brewed coffee (strong) to fill mugs or shot of espresso
Whipped cream
Desired garnishes:
cinnamon or white chocolate shavings
Add milk and chocolate chips to saucepan or double boiler (I recommend the double boiler to prevent scorching) and heat until chips are melted and milk is hot. Meanwhile make coffee or espresso. Pour half of milk mixture in coffee mug and fill rest of mug with coffee saving enough room for a dollop of whipped cream. If desired, garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon, or chocolate shavings. Makes enough for 2 small mugs or 1 large mug.
I don’t own a double boiler, but you can just make you own by adding the water to a pot and placing a glass bowl on top. This works just as well.
Just like this

Sounds soooo delicious! : ))) Mmmmmmm!!!!

Thanks for the recipe! I am a self-proclaimed Starbucks addict…and my hubby calls it “The Bucks” because of how much $$ I spend there
